If you are in the market for a great book on mindfulness without the deep mysticism then I have just the book for you.  Fear Less living beyond fear, anxiety, anger, & addiction by Dean Sluyter is one of my top favorite books for 2018.  If you know me then you know I am all about mindfulness, so of course this book interested me, but what really made me buy it was the anxiety and fear part.  I, like many folks, have suffered from debilitating anxiety and fear. It has been so bad at times that I often feel as if I am a prisoner to my own mind.  The fear my mind creates steals my freedom and keeps me locked in a very small world. These feelings are exactly what drew me to mindful practices, such as meditation, to begin with.  Practices like meditation have helped me tremendously over the past few years to be more present and live life more freely, but I admit I still get plagued by intense fear.  I have read some incredibly deep books that I absolutely love such as Eckhart Tolle's  A New Earth and Micheal Singer's The Untehthered Soul. These books rocked my world and made me think to depths I had never imagined but when they were done I found myself asking, "How do I use these principals in my everyday life?"

That's where Fearless comes in! This book is packed with tons of great techniques that you can use in your everyday life.  His flow is so beautiful that a child could understand his methods but none of the depth and meaning is lost in his translation.  It is just so simple and relatable but insanely brilliant!  Don't get me wrong in that the book is not overly simplistic. It is full of his rich story telling which helps to convey his message.  What I also love is that you can read a few pages a day and use what you learned that day to get results.  The messages and practices in this book are perfect whether you have been practicing mindfulness for years or if you're new and never heard of mindfulness, this book will teach you so much.   It has elevated my ability to sit in awareness and let anxiety pass right by just like a cloud in the sky.  It has become my number one guide to staying sane!! I am so grateful to Dean for writing this book and helping me on my path to freedom. If you want to be free of that never ending voice in your head that keeps you from living your best life then I highly recommend you give this one a read.

Love & Blessings,

Quinn
